According to
IGN, the latest issue of
Famitsu reveals plans for a sequel to IREM's PSP hexagonal strategy game,
R-Type Command. The sequel, which has the bizarrely great title
R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate, will include twice as many units as the original shmup spinoff, along with new commands and a branching storyline.
Bitter Chocolate will also offer downloadable missions.
When the sequel launches on October 29, it will be released both on UMD (with a bonus soundtrack disc) and as a cheaper download, which is
kind of a good idea, considering that the PSP Go will be out in Japan on November 1.

Operation Bitter Chocolate lol, Even though the name makes no sense I'll still buy the game

Right on! I still play the demo of R-type command on my PSP in between bouts of Patapon 2. I just have not gotten around to picking the full game up yet. I will take a look at the bitter chocolate!

Wow! Awesome and unexpected news! Even though I've played through several times since launch, guess what happens to be in my PSP yet again? LOL
Great game for turn-based fans. Intuitive interface, no archaic details to remember, and units that offer lots of strategic options without being cumbersome.
ONLY drawback is long load times. If they can lick that, this sequel may be one of my all-time fave PSP titles. ^_^
