White Knight Chronicles screens are eye-searingly gorgeous
Level-5's made some aesthetically pleasing games in the past, but none have been quite as jaw-droppingly beautiful as White Knight Chronicles. A recent deluge of screenshots from the game appeared around the end of the San Diego Comic Con -- we've wrangled them, and slapped them in the gallery below.
Oh, sure, we've been seeing content from this massive RPG since the game came out in Japan last Christmas. Still, these shots are from the American version of the game -- that's the most beautiful thing of all, in our humble opinion. Woo! Go America!

I can't wait for this game!

I can't wait for this game. I'm drooling for a proper RPG on the PS3.
My only nitpick is that I wish they would have spent as much time on the character textures as they did the environment textures.

Oblivion...closest thing to a "proper RPG" you're likely to find on a console.

Tried Oblivion out of desperation, absolutely couldn't stand a single facet of it. Especially the character design. It all felt so generic. And don't get me started on first person in an RPG.
I guess it's all relative.

that first screen just makes me want an HD version of shadow of the colossus.

White Knight looks kinda blue to me.
Steve @ Jul 31st 2009 1:13PM
When something is 'blue', Is that good or bad?
Exemplar @ Jul 31st 2009 1:16PM
Ah, I was merely referring to the colour of the so-called 'white' knight is all.
devilsei @ Jul 31st 2009 3:29PM
Hey, you try keeping white stuff white, and I bet that armor isn't stainless. Jeese, if he spent more time killing, it probably would look like a pink knight instead.
Exemplar @ Jul 31st 2009 4:10PM
then what's this guy been killing? blueberries??
devilsei @ Jul 31st 2009 4:47PM
Blueberries? Everyone knows any self-respecting RPG has a way of making money doing something monotonous. The White knight just helped with making blueberry jam alot... he's gotta pay for all the over-sized sharpening stones and armor wax somehow!

i feel like i've been waiting on this game forever.
