New screens of Gran Turismo PSP are impossibly hi-res

Folks, this is huge. Clearly, someone at Sony meant to send out new screens of Gran Turismo PSP but accidentally distributed some from Gran Turismo for the PSP2!
Oh, wait. No, they're actually just shots from the PSP version, only rendered out at 3840x2860 resolution with all sorts of post-processing going on. While staring at a sexy Corvette ZR-1 gets our pulse up, we can't help feeling like these "screens" are just a tad disingenuous. Just compare the galleries below and see if you don't come to a similar conclusion.

That's what the PS3 GT looks like.

That's from the intro or some other cgi clip from the game. Any idiot can see that thats not in-game graphics on the PSP
TM @ Aug 3rd 2009 10:46PM
suppose those are actual screenshots of the game..... Perhaps there is a special feature that allows you to connect the psp to the ps3 and have the graphics upgrade to the level on those screenshots

Yeah indeed. I was about to say, that I would be impressed if this was on PS3 never mind for a PSP.

PSP is up there with the PS2 in terms of power, I would say it can render the cars with a quality similar as GT4 when in the garage, but those shots... those shots are clearly beyond that, close to GT5.
There was a couple of older shots, from the GT-R and one Ferrari, rendered at that same higher res, where you could clearly spot some flaws, specially around the taillights, those were believable to be PSP in game/replay models rendered at higher res with AA and all that.
Saying that, well, it still looks godly in motion (60fps moffukas! Or it is not what you would call a game!!!)! Will be there a photo mode?
@TM
Well, it still looks great in motion and nobody is expecting it to look like THAT, right? RIGHT!?

wow those pics looks hot! too bad its not the game we thought!

I agree these look more like GT5 screens. Even if these were hi-res PSP screens, I don't think they would look this good.
Can't wait for GT5 to finally come out.

It's got a lot of jaggies, so I can believe it.
Dreadhead541 @ Aug 3rd 2009 9:40PM
actually, if you look at the pic at full res, it has almost zero aliasing

Ok so I'm a week late but, hey guys these aren't screen shots. Anyone else remember the Photo Mode from GT4? Yeah.. think about that.
