Ratchet & Clank action figures pop up for pre-order

Those DC Unlimited Ratchet & Clank figures we first told you about back in March have been dated for December release by Amazon, as relayed by Insomniac Games on Twitter. Four sets will be available on December 9: Ratchet & Clank; Armored Ratchet with Mr. Zurkon; Dr. Nefarious with Zoni; and Captain Quark with Scrunch.
Each set carries a price tag of $19.99, so they're not cheap. But, if they're anything like the rest of DC's collectible action figures, they won't be cheap looking or feeling, either. Oh, and did we mention that Clank transforms and attaches to Ratchet's back? Maybe they could even teach Michael Bay a thing or two about remaining faithful to your source material.

Why are not articulated figures labeled as "Action" Figures?

I wondered that myself. That's why I was always pleased to see companies like Square differentiate them by having two lines, Play Arts and Static Arts.

I'd love to get these for my little brother, he has beat all the games 100% and he was just about to complete the last game then our ps3 broke. I hope i can get them to cheer him up, he's just not the same without video games.

Do you guys remember the good old times when Ratchet's face didn't look like as if a toddler chew on it on 5 hours, then painted it with clown make-up?
It's impressive how the PS3 drove Insomniac into complete utter mediocrity. What's next, a shooter with a high player count and a completely uneventful online experie- OH.... RIGHT....
I think Insomniac fired it's old staff that made the games great and got a new one. That's the only possible explanation.
Why do all good games go to crap just to meet the expectations of the generally stupid-as-**** public voice? I'm tired of little 10 year olds re-shaping old classics instead of adapting to the new IP's.
