PAIN has some of the
worst Trophies ever. However, things are going to get oh-so-slightly easier for
PAIN veterans thanks to an unlikely partnership with
AXE. (Yes, the deodorant company.) A new character, "Smooth Jarvis," will get a brand new set of AXE-inspired moves that will net you bonus points. These bonus points, in turn, can be helpful in unlocking
PAIN's "Affliction Addiction," "D-Town Destruction," and "PAIN in the Park" Trophies.
We're certainly fans of this kind of in-game advertising (versus what
WipEout HD offered). But, we
beg the guys at Idol Minds: please make the "King of PAIN" Trophy easier.

PAIN's trophies are STUPIDLY difficult to get - I've given up trying as I refuse to spend one third of my adult life trying to get a Bronze trophy!

I've bought this game upon release... trophy patch came a little later... to date I have ZERO Pain trophies, and I'm at 60% on trophy level 10 w/ 6 platinums.
Is this going to be free?

I don't have Pain myself, but the WipeOut HD trophies were pretty brutal. Hours of work for each bronze trophy. It's crazy.

Getting the platinum on that brought a tear to my eye! 33 platinums on and i've still not whoored Hannah Montana (like some sad people) that should be a trophy lol
I gave up on PAIN after i lost my save (when i got the YLOD) that was a dark time...

Am I missing something here? I've downloaded and installed this guy 3 times, so the PSN Store tells me, and still can't find him anywhere.
Granted, I only bought the disc version last week and are yet to get into the swing of things, but shouldn't it be obvious?
I know this isn't a forum, apologies, just asking whoever might have an idea.

Check Jarvis, I haven't downloaded it myself but it should be an extra costume. Just click Jarvis and the different costume list should come up with the Axe one as one of the choices.

Its almost certainly none of the above, its US content your applying to a UK game, and I dont believe theres any addon DLC content which is region free, which is a little odd when you consider the games are region free.
US Map packs wont work on EU games, EU music tracks wont play on US RB/GH/S* etc
So, unless the corresponding PSN store has the content to match the region the game was purchased from, i dont think you'll have any luck. If its a US based commercial tie-in, chances are it wont appear on any other PSN store either, which is kinda sucky if it does make it more managable to acheive some trophies, all of which are stupidly hard beyond reason.

Then that does suck, my US account has been gathering dust for the better part of a year or two, everything is done through the EU store. Strange, but I'll see if anything new happens, thanks for that.

I only have about 65% of the trophies in this game, including the new ones I havent worked on yet.
they are tough to get, but entirely possible. even the ones that take a long time to earn, take less time than a single bronze in Pixel Junk Eden or GTA4.
More importantly, this game is a lot of fun (esp in multiplayer) and hysterical at times.

This is a DL game that should have a plat trophy. Come on, these suckers are harder to unlock than the freakin Buzz trophies where it depends on how many games you played(sure, buzz trophies are hard, but only on a time spent spectrum, not skill).
