New Fat Princess map 'New Pork' revealed

If you thought Fat Princess was all about cake, then you were wrong! During PAX, the Titan Studios team announced plans for new DLC for the PSN multiplayer game. The first revelation is a new map entitled "New Pork" that looks more like Rome than a swine-flavored version of New York. Titan Studios is promising new kinds of strategies for use in the new map: "Use multiple sewer shortcuts to sneak up behind your enemies, blow up barricades to open up new routes of assault and defend your princess from the rooftops."

According to the dev, this is just "the beginning of additional content for Fat Princess." Considering all the teases leaked so far, we're pretty certain that whatever Titan is cooking up is going to be huge -- fat, even.

Wow, that looks nice. Has a whole different feel compared to the other levels. I really hope that these are free downloads.

I hope any DLC released for Fat Princess is free. If they do charge for DLC, it will split the online community. Killzone 2 and Warhawk are great examples of this.

I should point out that I understand why they would charge for DLC. It takes money to develop and, from a business perspective, it's a potential "money maker".

However, from a consumer perspective, it could potentially limit the amount of people you play with or the way you play with friends (assuming some of your friends did not purchase the DLC).

In any case, I think this looks like a great addition to an already superb game.

It should be free, consideringall the issues at launch. Kinda like a bonus for buying a buggy game.

what about people that didnt buy it at launch? for example me, i didnt get it yet, i will get it next week. but yeah, i agree they should give something free. cant remember now, but what was that other game that had a lot of problems at launch untill they released a patch?

Awesome map? check. Awesome pun? check. New classes? not yet. Free? Probably not. Cheap? Hopefully. But really, does anyone care? It's a freaking rome based map in Fat princess. Imagine giong around that map dressed as a ninja... One can dream.

I just bought this yesterday morning and I already have 6 hours logged on. I can't stop playing, it does need a better matchmaking system though. Something similar to Killzone 2 would be awesome. I know it's not going to happen though.

has anyone noticed in the second and third picture, the worker's health has decreased from 4 to 3 hearts which sucks cos' the worker is my favourite class.

Haha- I (and most likely a lot of other people) kinda knew that there was gonna be a city map- If you on the game on the XMB and its backround shows, you can see there are TWO pictures of cities even though they're aren't any in the game. One is right above the Fat Princess logo and the other is in the top right corner (this one even resembles the screenshot of the New Pork map)! While I'm glad they're making some city maps, I really hope they don't charge too much- I mean it wasn't even much of a surprise....
