Wow. I'm loving what I'm seeing. A cannon that turns into a broadsword?
Epic.

Well, you know what they say - 5 plus a day!

Well it DOES look exactly like Monster Hunter, but I kinda like the whole futuristic theme of this game better. If it has a decent camera system (the one that MH lacks) I'm totally sold.
cylet @ Sep 9th 2009 3:21PM
the camera angle looks clumsy
Josh @ Sep 9th 2009 3:22PM
My only problem is that it does look to play like Monster Hunter, and Monster Hunter sucks.
Rez @ Sep 9th 2009 6:02PM
People who think Monster Hunter sucks are usually the ones who need to have the game play for them. They're the ones who need auto-lock, auto-targeting, auto-camera, auto-wins, etc.
It's not the problem of the camera, the combat system, etc. It's you. You're not advanced enough to play this type of game. Go stick with World of Warcraft where all you have to do is repetively click on the creature.

Oh, I can't believe you're giving us the "I R advanzed playa" crap. The camera system in MH is AWFULLY limited, and they should've given players at least options regarding its use. In my case at least, It isn't as if I couldn't play the game, it just WASN'T FUN to play using that camera system. No fun, no SALE in my case. I won't play a game and force myself to adapt to its stupid camera mechanics just because it's a "trendy" game or whatever. Couldn't care less about that crap.

I'm afraid I simply can't agree with you there. I found nothing wrong with the camera control at all. I can adjust it up and down as I see fit, and rotate it around myself at just the right speed to keep track of any monster I'm fighting. All that, while doing whatever else needs doing. And I didn't need to "adapt" to it, it was that easy when I picked it up. I don't think it's the fault of the player though, if you're that insistent that it's awful, it must be that it just isn't suited for some, while fine for others. Some games are like that. *shrugs* Whatever, it's perfect for me.
cafecito @ Sep 10th 2009 7:00PM
I didn't say it's awful, I said it's awfully "limited"... since there's no alternate system and the camera itself doesn't even bother to try and follow you around. The possibility to map horizontal camera movement to the shoulder buttons at least, would've been welcome.
dotzeno @ Sep 10th 2009 9:07AM
this looks quite good. I would consider getting it. I only played monster hunter for a very short while, but I didn't like the ancient feeling vibe.
