Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep gets ad hoc multiplayer
According to RPG Site, a recent V-Jump article on Squeenix and Disney's upcoming PSP collaboration Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep revealed an intriguing facet of the spiky-haired title: It includes a three-player cooperative mode using the handheld's ad hoc capabilities. The co-op mode pits players against the "Mirage Arena," which allows Keyblade-wielders to tackle standalone co-op missions, or set up multiplayer rematches against the core game's toughest bosses. In addition, Mirage Arena visitors will have special protective abilities with which to heal their friends or bolster their defenses.
It sounds like a pretty interesting feature -- and should placate PSP owners who've been miffed about 358/2 Days' multiplayer mode. No reason to get upset gang! At least your game's title isn't completely ridiculous.

completely useless without ad-hoc party app in the US PlayStaion Store. JP app is just annoying to use and a hassle if you dont use it often.

3-5-8 over 2 days isn't ridiculous. From what I understand it ties into the story.

Who cares about Ad Hoc, thats practically standard in PSP games now adays at this point as standard in games as a second controller was on console systems for multiplayer back in the day at least, think super nintendo.
They really need to work on getting more games to support infrastructure or get a Ad Hoc client out that simulates it like Xlink, preferably one that doesn't require a PS3 .... like Xlink but preferably with first party support from sony

This is a pleasant surprise. I know I'll be using ad-hoc.

I'd get laughed at for saying I play Kingdom Hearts, let alone asking a friend to play it with me. Infrastructure please.

If you're really affected by that, you need to grow up.

I'm not saying so much that I'm afraid to be laughed at, so much as I'm saying that it would be nearly impossible for me to find a friend to play Kingdom Hearts with, since none of my friends play Kingdom Hearts, and that an Infrastructure mode would be much more useful.

Since I have to wait for the release of Final Fantasy games, the wait for KH: BBS is no problem.
*tries not to jump off a window*

As long as it has ad-hoc, Squeenix and Sony may eventually work in the capability to play this title through Ad-hoc Party. That would be alright, wouldn't it?
