Modern Warfare 2 dynamic themes in the works

We like PS3 dynamic themes. (We don't like paying so much for them, though.) However, ever since the initial batch of themes for LittleBigPlanet, WipEout HD and PixelJunk Monsters, we haven't seen many interesting themes for purchase. That's about to change with the upcoming Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward used Twitter to confirm that, like all games released in 2009, MW2 will feature both rumble and Trophy support. Additionally, they noted "some dynamic themes [are] in the works for the PS3 XMB."

Considering the popularity of the Call of Duty franchise, it seems likely that the Modern Warfare 2 dynamic theme will be quite a popular item on the PlayStation Store. We can already see the hordes of people downloading the theme whilst they type up yet more annoying (and incorrect) PSN spam chain letters about how Call of Duty is becoming an Xbox-only franchise.

Hey nice. I got the LBP one and wasn't as bad as people say. I had $5 or so after I got FatP. Now for a MGS one!

I got that chain mail, and I ignored it because I didn't understand how changing your clan tag is supposed to be a "protest."

I downloaded the Wipeout one from the UK store because it was Free, depending on how these look I might just buy one.

i agree with you....but what i kinda of hate is that they do not show a preview of the dynamic theme like the normal ones that you buy for 1$ or something. I have to check youtube to see how they look instead. Sony needs to let people see how they look before buying it.

Yeah a preview button would be nice for these, especially because 3 dollars is a lot for a theme.

I'm not giving Infinity Ward anymore money. DANG IT! I bought the game and I know i'll get the DLC packs so I'm not spending another 3 bucks on this game lol! They show have themes come on the disc and you can unlock it.

The Afrika theme is pretty neat. Watching Zebras move and graze. It's free on the Japanese store.

the afrika theme sure looks cool, but is unusable because the white fonts of the XMB disappear into the sky, which of course could be fixed if we could just change the font color....

Does Infinity Ward really need to "confirm" Rumble support in this day and age? And in a shooter? It is like saying "the game will feature graphics and sound". Pretty much a given nowadays.

And yes, the PS3 was rumble- less for a while but it's been close to a year and a half since then and even many of the older games were patched to feature rumble.

Ive gotten so many of those i cant explain how annoying it is. I even got one about Halo and Gears... how dumb are people! There should be an auto-suspension for spaming chain letters... "Send this to all of your PSN friends and Sony will track the message to get Halo and Gears on PS3" STFU myspace ho!

About that chain messages, I've been getting quite some for now, some of them are kind of funny and others contain porn.

I hate those chain messages! ive gotten that 1 from 4 of my friends. I eventually told all of my friends if they send me another chain message ill delete them.

It was kind of funny, but to get the word to people that we hate chain messages, i sent a chain message to tell them to stop... :)
