Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, more PSone Classics rated by the ESRB

The ESRB has exposed a new round of PSone Classics for PS3 and PSP on its ratings site, including Naughty Dog creative director -- and Uncharted creator -- Amy Hennig's 32-bit opus, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. Other titles recently rated for re-release via PlayStation network include Bomberman Party Edition, Fighting Force, Dirt Jockey and International Track & Field.
After last week's deluge of classic PlayStation games gone downloadable on PSN, we were befuddled by the utter lack of any new additions with yesterday's update. We could very likely be looking at the next round in the list -- the only question is when Sony will push them out the digital distribution door.
[Thanks, Dylan!]

So...Pandemonium doesn't count as a new release on the store why?

"Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver" is an awesome game! I hope this gets released soon.

Soul Reaver would be a welcome addition to the store. Looks like Sony is getting all the Eidos games out of the way...

I want them to put Tales of Destiny II (Tales of Eternia, really) up there...since Namco can't seem to bring over the PSP remake...

The PSP isn't region-locked, so if you were to import the European "Tales of Eternia", you'd be able to play it in all its English-language glory, instead of waiting (quite futilely, I might add) for Namco to throw you a bone..
That's what I did.

Luckly I got mine new on the US Amazon.com about 2 years ago. The same seller who had a whole inventory of new Breath of Fire III's (which I purchased) was selling this game as well.
Seeing has how, unlike BOFIII, I can't find it there anymore, used or otherwise, I'm glad I did.

Tell me when they release the NFS, Test Drive, and Driver.

I absolutely love the Legacy of Kain series; I have been saying they should either re-release these a la GoW Collection, make movies from them or both! I still have my PS2 copy of this one & think I'll get it on the PSP for when I travel for work.
Vae Victis! :)

Cool but this is the PS1 game; the PS2 had Soul Reaver 2 (and the not very good, developed by another team Blood Omen 2, and the series cliffhanger ending Legacy of Kain: Defiance). Just in case you were getting your hopes up...

I have 7, pick up, play for a bit, come back another day, as I beat it twice on PSone, back when it came out.. 8 wasn't my favourite, it felt rushed (as 9 was finished before 8!), but I'd like to complete this time. I hadn't done the right stuff in the endgame, and couldn't beat the last boss. 9 came out after my last PSone broke, & I've never owned a Playstation since, apart from the PSP, so I'd like the chance to play it.

my brother will go nuts to download soul reaver

Kira @ Oct 10th 2009 1:03AM
Hmm, I already one two copies of this on PS1, black label, but I'm still happy to see the attention.

Bah I got this for $.25 when Gamestop was selling their PSone games for 75% off.
