Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars keeps long title, cuts price

Developer Psyonix was presented with one of two options for the one year anniversary of its PSN-exclusive Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars: a) make a shorter title, or b) cut the price in half.Well, it chose the latter. Starting today (going on until October 29th), the soccer-inspired "racing" game will be half-off. For the low price of $4.99, you'll get access to the entire game, including the free expansion DLC released earlier this year. The price drop is sure to prompt a nice influx of gamers to the network modes.

To be completely honest, if they cut the name of it, I'd be less likely to buy it. One reason I'm thinking about going ahead and buying it is so I can take 20 seconds saying the title. Hell, with the new free DLC, they should have extended the title. Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars HD Remix 2009 Remastered Turbo Deluxe Edition...2.

You got me! I loved the demo (despite its stupid restrictions - had to be connected to PSN to play offline multiplayer - and the multiplayer stopped working after a certain number of matches) and now with this price cut, I'll certainly buy it.

This game was actually originally called SocCar! Then they changed it to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars...

Fyshokid is right (I work at Psyonix), we actually still call it SocCar around the office a lot!

I bought this when it was $15, and I still don't regret it. Fantastic game, though the trophies are ridiculously hard.
