Off-putting off-screen Heavy Rain footage

Remember the scene in Heavy Rain that we told you about at E3? The emotional roller coaster in which private investigator Scott Shelby does his best to thwart a convenience store hold-up? Remember how we noted the plentitude of ways that players can tackle this single scene, using a variety of context sensitive inputs and quick time events? Try to remember that as you watch off-screen footage of the same scene after the break, which has the players rather amused at making Shelby repeatedly run into walls and, ultimately, getting him shot.

It's a bit silly, but it does prove one thing: It's fun to watch Heavy Rain even if you're only trying to see how bad the situation can get.

the controls are so bad that those guys were actually laughing. thats a bad sign.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. They are actually laughing at the game. The controls are so pathetic that they can't even get mad, they can only laugh at it. I wonder if it's because of the camera, or the controls, or both, because if it's like this at all when it is released then I'm definitely not wasting my time.

because idiots at a convention playing a demo are a good indicator of control quality.

It's not like you ever have to play a game for more than three seconds to gain competency at it or anything.

The more I see of this game, the more I want it. The facial animations are really incredible. Not to mention the "Choose Your Own Adventure" aspect of the storytelling. Looking forward to picking this up!

Looks pretty awesome. The visuals are amazing and the subtle animations in the face and the body are some of the most realistic I've ever seen in a game.

I'm going to go media blackout on this game from here on out as I'm already sold on it and I've just seen to much as it stands. I want there to be some surprises left when I play the actual game.

Okay, sorry for being snappy.

The punk robber shot and "missed" the detective and only grazed his shoulder. You can see the blood/rip on his shoulder when he leans down.

should i see the vid or stay spoiler free? cuz this games looks kind of Story only and short, i feel that watching stuff will just ruin the whole thing.

Well this was worthless. It's basically some idiots making a character run around back and forth and then get himself shot, all while they laugh like stoners at a Looney Tunes show.

The controls are different, and the people playing this were probably FPS-junkies.

I still think this game looks amazing. The story telling aspect of this game looks top notch, and the animations look real life-like.

When is this game coming out?

Im sorry but when the robber asked the cop to raise his hands it looked like he tried but he was too fat to lift his arms up and eventually got shot.

With that said I cant wait to play this game next year!!
