Bethesda now testing fix for Canadian Fallout 3 GOTY issues

Canadian owners of the Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition may soon have a fix for the save game issue plaguing their corner of the globe. As reported a couple weeks back, those friendly folks of the north are having problems getting the GOTY edition to recognize save files created by the original retail release of the game.
Bethesda now has a fix for the problem, which is currently being tested. There is no word on when it'll release, but hopefully it'll be before the Chinese actually invade Anchorage.
[Thanks, Harry S.]

They need to patch the U.S. version of the dlc, and the regular game.

I didn't have a problem with this game until I started playing the DLC. Now it locks up and freezes and often the video is anything but smooth. I feel like I'm playing a game on an underpowered system. It is a real disappointment because this was one of my favorite games ever. Unfortunately I haven't heard a single thing from Bethesda about addressing this issue. Like Darwin below, I will be hesitant about buying another Bethesda game.

Yeah, and that's why I want Bethesda to release a patch.

A year after release and they still can't get it right. I traded my release copy after a couple weeks of freezing and game-breaking glitches on the PS3 back in November of 2008 and haven't looked back since. I will be EXTREMELY hesitant to buy another game from Bethesda until I read the reviews and forums. They really need to thoroughly test their games before they release them.

that's great! so i'll be able to finally play with my old save file, only to be stopped dead in my tracks by the game freezing issues i've been reading about.
are the freezing issues in the GOTY edition really as bad as i've read?

Bethesda sucks. ..freezing issues still on a +1 year old game....bye bye Bethesda, will never buy another piece of crap game from you (Zenimax) ever again.

This is so disappointing, I love this game and want to play the expansions but I will definitely wait until all these fixes are in before a purchase the GOTY version.
Good thing there are plenty of other great games to play right now and in the near future.

It is weird since they released DLC my game has been terribly glitchy and frame rate has been shitty and I haven't even bought the DLC. And since they didn't bother improving the DLC in the time they took I won't bother buying it unless PSN store bundles it cheap
