Canadian Fallout 3 PS3 GOTY edition patch now available
Incredibly specific patch news now, with the release of a save recognition remedy for the French Canadian version of Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition (product code "BLUS-30455"). The patch will allow the GOTY re-release of Bethesda's wasteland wandering sim to recognize save files generated by Fallout 3 sans accolades.
As a Bethesda community manager helpfully points out, your old save files will only show up if there are new saves (GOTY) present -- if you only have old saves, start a new game and, you know, save. If you have in excess of 130 save files (a sign of prudence!), you'll have to delete older ones in order for the new ones to be displayed. Oh, and one more thing: "If your saves are taking a long time to load you might want to resave them and back up or remove the old ones."
And now we've exhausted our supply of the word "save," save for one which we were keeping for the en ... dammit, we wasted it!
[One thank you "reserved" for: Harry]

I second this. Just got into the DLC and Broken Steel I didn't have any problem but Mothership Zeta is a mess so far. Wondering how Operation Anchorage Point Lookout and The Pitt will work out.

actually zeta i had almost no troubles with.
however OA is really bad once you get past the cliffs section of the game. every time the wind blows (which is constant) and the snow swirls around and around in the wind you get immense lag and freezes alot.... and when you get to the trenches the bombs falling will cause lots of lags and freezes.
PL it freezes up because as you walk threw the swamp every planet moving causes lag and freezes you, and every time you leave anything you went into. aka house, boat, cave it grabs every car for some unknown reason throws them into the air and then they explode on landing which does a big number to the game.
broken steal i really only had trouble with during the big airbase fight.

Awesome! I was one of the many affected by this, and it was difficult to wait patiently for a fix. Good to hear it's out now (I'm not at home to enjoy it though).

Great I've been waiting for this, too bad will all the great games that came out late this year, I'll have to wait until next year to purchase and play this.

Hey Bethesda, a little late with the patch but better late than never...unfortunately at $69 its way over priced and won't bother buying until it hits under $20. There are way too many good games out now and coming soon that PS3 owners don't need to bother with F3 goty.
The xpaks should have came out at the same time as the 360...a missed opportunity to shine among your loyal customers Bethesda...but all Bethesda got from that was some extra cash from Microsoft and a tonne of pissed off loyal PS3 customers.
