Gravity Crash lands a global PSN release on Tuesday, November 24

The game has certainly come a long way since its E3 showing, especially in terms of visuals. Unlike so many other PSN games, Gravity Crash will launch with a free demo which will include access to four levels and the in-game level editor (seen after the break). The demo will give you nearly unrestricted access to the editor, with one caveat -- you'll only be able to publish levels online by buying the full game.
Gravity Crash will be available on PS3 for £6.29 / €7.99 / $9.99. A PSP version -- which also includes a level editor -- is also in the works, and is likely to arrive in December. For more details on the game, check out Episode 140 of the PS Nation podcast.

Well, it looks cool. Can't say I've ever heard of it. Also, why on Tuesday?
TheManick @ Nov 20th 2009 2:15PM
Because of Thanksgiving I am guessing.

Reminds me of PixelJunk Shooter. Very much so.

I've been keeping an eye out for this since it was announced. It seems like something that would be fun to have on a portable. But given that it's a dual-stick control scheme on PS3, I hope the controls work well on a PSP.

it's not really dual stick. you rotate the ship with left and right, and always shoot in the direction of your ship. It plays like Asteroids. The old arcade game. Should be just as good on the PSP as the PS3

I really going to enjoy this game, like old school, but BETTER

The retro game that most directly inspired this has to be Atari's 1982 color vector graphics arcade game Gravitar. Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfC76dHogH4

I've been looking forward to this ever since I downloaded the trailer from the PS Store during E3. This was before any news had been posted about it, so it was a complete, grin-inducing surprise. "Whoa, it's like HD Gravitar! And there's a PSP version, too!" (seriously, people acted surprised a couple of months ago when the PSP version was "revealed," but the E3 trailer ended with "Also available on PSP"). Of course, like most people, I've never been very good at Gravitar, so maybe this game will just make me cry in the end. . . . I'm surprised at the short notice, though. Just 4 days before release? I gotta stock up on vectors quick!

@Levi
Actually, there are 2 control schemes.
1 is the retro controls, when you turn the ship with the left stick, and fire in that direction with R1.
The 2nd is a Twin-Stick configuration, similar to other game that you've played.
Also, this game may seem similar to PJ Shooter, but they are seriously very different in their execution. I've had a pre-beta of this game for a few weeks, and I honestly love it.
