Electronic Arts announces EA Replay feature details

New EA Replay feature details revealedEarlier today, we showed you a ridiculously long gameplay video for EA Replay's Syndicate title, and now Electronic Arts has released the game's features details.

EA Replay will feature:
While the collectable cards don't do a whole lot for me, I think the ad-hoc and mid-game save features are a very nice addition. However, would it be too much to ask for some infrastructure action?

Syndicate EA Replay video revealed

I never got the chance to play Peter Molyneux's Syndicate back in the early 90s, even though it was released on nearly every platform imaginable. However, thanks to EA Replay, I'll be able to finally do so anywhere I want, even if it's nearly 13 years after its release.

If you had any questions about Syndicate, this video will show you pretty much everything and then some. The game combines several different genres like real-time tactics, shooting and simulator into something that was pretty ahead of its time when it was released.

You'll be able to get your hands on Syndicate and 13 other classic EA titles when EA Replay ships Oct. 31.

Road Rash 1, 2, 3 EA Replay videos released

If you're like me and are a huge fan of compilations, there isn't a better time to be a PSP owner what with EA Replay, Sega Genesis Collection and Metal Slug Collection on the horizon. We've already seen several videos of games in Sega Genesis Collection, and now EA has released gameplay videos of Road Rash 1, 2 and 3.

I can't wait to get my hands on this game. Road Rash is one of my favorite old-school games. However, I must admit I thought Skitchin' was a far more interesting game, and I wish it were included in this compilation. Oh well, I guess I'll hold out hope for it in EA Replayed Again.

Check after the jump to see the other two videos.

EA confirms retro compilation game

EA confirms retro compilation gameA few weeks ago, Gamespot, using their highly accute senses of detectivism, spotted a new listing for EA Replay, a retro compilation that was made up of some of the best games EA released in the '90s, at Gamestop.com. Now, 1UP is reporting EA has finally confirmed the game's existance.

All 13 games from the previous report will be in the final version, and we can expect to get our grubby mitts on this bad boy come Nov. 7. Also, a PS2 version is in the works, as well.

While the list is pretty good, I don't think there's any need to have three Road Rashes, and I would have loved to see Mutant League Hockey make its way onto the game. God, I remember spending many a day tearing up the ice with Bones Jackson back in the day.

Yet another classics compilation, this time from EA

If the upcoming Capcom Classics Reloaded or the insanely awesome Sega Genesis Collection aren't enough retro games for you, then you might want to check out EA's offering. Gamespot recently spotted a Gamestop listing (these names always confuse me) called EA Replay, and it should feature the following games:

B.O.B.--1993--SNES and Genesis
Budokan--1990--Genesis
Desert Strike--1993--SNES and Genesis
Jungle Strike--1993--SNES and Genesis
Haunting Starring Polterguy--1993--Genesis
Mutant League Football--1993--Genesis
Road Rash--1992--Genesis, later on 3DO
Road Rash II--1993--Genesis
Road Rash III--1995--Genesis
Syndicate--1995--SNES, 3DO, Jaguar
Ultima: The Black Gate--1994--SNES
Virtual Pinball--1993--Genesis
Wing Commander--1993--SNES
Wing Commander: The Secret Missions--1993--SNES

While these may franchises may not be as famous as Sonic or Street Fighter, there are still some heavy-hitters there. Personally, I can't wait to get back into Road Rash, while many should get excited about Wing Commander. But, compared to Sega's 30 game offering, will EA's less than blockbuster lineup be able to compete?
