This was a hard decision to make as a lot of truly beautiful games were released in 2008. However, our vote goes to Metal Gear Solid 4. Watching a real-time cutscene in MGS4 is really like watching a CG movie. The motorcycle chase sequence in the middle of the game is one of the most visually intense sequences of the year. Certainly, this is a feast for the eyes.
