Atlus announces Crimson Gem Saga for US release

Atlus announced plans to bring Crimson Gem Saga, a Korean RPG, to North American PSP gamers. The game, which is known as Garnet Chronicle in Japan and Astonishia Story 2 in Korea, promises "lush hand-drawn visuals, an engaging fantasy tale, and an easy-to-use interface."

No other details or assets were released. Crimson Gem Saga is scheduled for release on May 26, 2009 with an MSRP of $29.99. Stay tuned for more details when we get them.

Astonishia Story 2 headed for Japan as Garnet Chronicle

A name change is just what Astonishia Story 2 needs for its journey from South Korea to Japan; at least in the opinion of its Japanese publisher, Sega. A Weekly Famitsu scan shows the game will debut in Japan this fall as Garnet Chronicle and highlights the game's main characters, story, the battle system and the Japanese version's seiyuu. We've made available the Korean version's demo before so feel free to try it out. The game will arrive in Japan on October 23rd. Take a look at the scan here.
