Get 20% off used PSP games at GameStop

Click to print.
Screw the PSP Go! Show Sony how much you love UMD by taking part in GameStop's latest used games sale. With this in-store coupon, you'll be able to get 20% off any pre-owned PSP games. With coupon in hand, you'll be able to pick up physical UMD copies of classic PSP games -- at a significantly lower price than its digital PlayStation Network equivalent.

You'll have to hurry, though. The coupon is only valid until 9/10/09.

Dell coupon slims down prices on new console SKUs

Dell's website is basically always the cheapest way to get a new console, as the company frequently offers 15% off coupons that can be applied to console purchases (as well as "computers" or whatever). That discount is always wonderful, but it's particularly exciting right now, what with the launch of the new PS3 Slim. Use coupon code 6FWJ247J1P44CK and your PS3 Slim will cost just $254.

The coupon code also makes for the best Xbox 360 deal yet. A post-price-drop Xbox 360 Pro sells for just $212 on the site. That's almost Arcade-price for a console that you can use! Or if you need an Arcade to replace a busted Pro or something, it's $170.

Amazon offering $5 off Dissidia deal

Even if you've already pre-ordered your copy elsewhere, Amazon is offering a deal on Dissidia: Final Fantasy that's worth checking out (unless you're after the PSP-3000 bundle, that is). By placing the game in your virtual shopping cart and entering the coupon code SAVE5DIS at checkout, the online retailer will knock $5 off its asking price of $36.99. Since the game sells for more than $25, you won't pay shipping or sales tax and will save the dough brick and mortars ask for pre-orders. So, if you ever see one of us on the street in need of cab fare, remember who did you a solid with this one, 'kay?

Update: We posted this deal earlier in the week, however the code wasn't active yet. We're glad to report the coupon code should be active now.

Capcom thanks fans for buying Okami

If you've preordered Okami (from the Capcom Store, that is), Capcom has gone out of its way to reward your loyalty. You can expect some goodies in the mail soon (you lucky dogs), including a thank-you card embedded with seeds. That means you can either save the card in a shoebox full of mementos from your fondest Capcom memories (with "Mr." or "Mrs. Capcom" written on the lid), or actually plant the card and watch it grow.

You will have something nice to save though -- mainly, the sweet Amaterasu postage stamp on the envelope. Lastly, the company will also be sending you a coupon code for free shipping on a future purchase. Well done, Capcom! What a great way to show appreciation for your fans.

GameStop coupon: 20% off used games [update]

Need to fill a few holes in your DS library? Take advantage of this week's GameStop sale for over 175 used games. While most of them are crap -- license-based software and other forgettable releases -- the titles listed below are worth picking up at these prices.
Unfortunately, these bargains are only available at brick and mortar locations, so we hope you don't mind throwing on a thick coat and braving the winter weather! Don't forget to bring along the coupon we've pasted past the break.

Update: Clarified that this sale is in-store only. Thanks, Joe!

Subscribing with power (and $3.23)

The common argument against subscribing video game magazines is that you can get all of your news on the internet for free, but Nintendo Power has done a good job separating itself from its online competition with exclusive previews, attractive posters, and interviews with interesting figures. And with this latest bargain, you can get a hella cheap subscription for 12 months.

BestDealMagazines.com, a site which we assume trades in the best deals for magazines, is offering a year's worth of Nintendo Power issues and a free gift for only $3.99. Type in the "YEAREND19" coupon code during checkout, and you'll save 19%, dropping your final total to $3.23. See what we mean? Hella cheap.

Micro Center offers convoluted process for two free games

If you're in the market for a new DS Lite and happen to have one of Micro Center's 21 US locations nearby, this might be the deal for you! Starting yesterday and lasting until this Christmas, the computer retailer will hand out two coupons, each one redeemable for a free DS game, used or new, to anyone who picks up a Nintendo DS Lite in-store.

Cashing in those coupons is where this bargain starts to get complicated, however. One of them can only be exchanged during the month of December, whereas the other is only valid during January. Also, the game is only free if its value is $29.99 or less. Any more than that, and the coupons will just subtract $29.99 from its list price. This sounds way more elaborate than it needs to be, but knowing the ridiculous lengths that gamers often go to for free stuff, we're sure that some of you will still take advantage of the sale.

GameStop selling used DS Lites at a decent price

GameStop usually sells its used DS Lites for $119.99, only ten dollars less than how much a new system goes for -- might as well buy a new one at that price, right? But for the next week, the video game retailer will be offering the preowned handhelds for only $99.99, provided that you present the above coupon. That sounds a lot more reasonable!

Just cross your fingers and hope that your console's previous owner treated it a lot better than these guys did with theirs.

Save $5 on overpriced used games at EB/GS

We've always thought that GameStop and EB Games's used titles were, at the very least, $5 too expensive, especially when you consider the pittance they reward you with for trading in your games, old or new. The thrifty among you will find some solace in this coupon that both companies sent out last night, enticing you to "Save $5 when you buy any used DS game priced $14.99 or higher."

You'll have a better selection picking out your game from the stores' shelves, but the coupon code, "EBC3002763," should also work with online purchases. If you head to their "Used Games" pages now, you might be able to scavenge preplayed titles like Elite Beat Agents and Resident Evil: Deadly Silence before the wolves descend upon them and tear their availability from your grip. Check past the post break for the coupon.

Last chance to get a 360 for $352

Buy 2 used games, get 1 free at Gamestop/EB

The July issue of Game Informer has a "Buy two used games, get one free" coupon for use at Gamestop/EB, pictured above in post rip-out condition. They discount the cheapest game so you need to buy three $55 games to get the full value out of it. There's also a $20 extra trade-in credit coupon for when you trade in that crusty old system.

Free Oblivion horse armor coupon with PC version

Interested in buying Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PC but the $1.99 horse armor at obliviondownloads.com is scaring you away? Lucky for you, EB Games / GameStop is now offering these coupons with every purchase of Oblivion for the PC, featuring a promo code good for one free download of the Horse Armor pack.

Running the Xbox 360 version, you're still stuck ponying up the MS points. Already bought the PC version and the horse? Well, better late than never, right?

[Thanks, Matt]

Save a fiver with Lik-Sang

Online retailer Lik-Sang is widely known for its ability to import goods free from most of the hassle that's usually associated with the endeavor. The thing is, you usually end up sacrificing something for the easy route, which often means you'll have to pay top dollar to get your latest Japanese import of Capitano Saiko Fru-fru in Some Game We've Never Heard Of. For now, at least, you can save yourself a bit on the tax and input the code LS-3868AC3C9A to save five bucks on every purchase $40 and above. We're not sure how long this will last, but we're hoping it'll keep for another week or so.
