Europe gets Fatal Inertia demo soon, others to follow

Today, KOEI announced that demos for upcoming games Fatal Inertia, Dynasty Warriors: GUNDAM and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War will be releasing to Europe's XBLM in the coming months. Yes, it's true that both Fatal Inertia and DW: GUNDAM demos are available on the XBLM right now, but (for unknown reasons) they are not available to European Xbox Live members. So, KOEI is announcing that the Fatal Inertia demo will be available to European Xbox Live members on August 14th with DW: GUNDAM and Bladestorm demos releasing sometime in October. And be sure not to get too angry fellow European fanboys about receiving delayed demos, because everyone is getting to play the BioShock demo at the same time (except Japan). See, you feel better already.

MotoGP '07 and DW: Gundam demos are live

Both the MotoGP '07 and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam demos appeared on the XBLM last night, which not only surprised us but also made us feel like we have too many game demos to play. The MotoGP '07 demo clocks in at a hefty 902MBs and includes a single and multiplayer two race experience, while Dynasty Warriors: Gundam comes in at a lighter 485MBs and allows players to "experience the excitement" that is Dynasty Warriors. Oh happy day!

This past week has brought us not only the MotoGP '07 and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam demos mentioned above, but also All-Pro Football 2K8, NASCAR 08, The Darkness, FlatOut (Europe only) and Juiced 2. Thank god for the Spring update's auto-off background download feature. It's a lifesaver during times like these.

American PSN releases for June 28th

After a pretty killer week for boxed game releases, the PSN is also doing its part to beef up the PlayStation argument. This week we have a game, a demo, a major trailer and some other accompanying fancies. No PS1 games, though. They've all been funneled into the Japanese PSN store. Not that we mind. We've got more than enough to keep us busy. Super Stardust HD is one of those games that popped up a couple of weeks ago yelling "I'm going to be amazing. Buy me." The full release list is as follows.
Great stuff. Keep it coming, Sony!

Gundam comes to America, gets a silly title

According to IGN, Namco Bandai confirmed today that Gundam Musou will be released in North America under the new moniker Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. It is scheduled to come out towards the end of summer on both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 platforms.

The game sold well in Japan, but not up to Namco Bandai's expectations. They had expected it to have an attach rate of over 50% though, which seems a tad high for this game. So maybe they were being a bit overly optimistic. Regardless though, it makes sense that they would expand the release market to increase their revenue return.

Hopefully this will be better than their previous PS3 Gundam attempt. The Japanese reviews were favorable, and the Dynasty Warrior games have always been a guilty pleasure of mine, but the graphics don't look real hot and the DW formula has grown a little stale. Also that new name bugs the hell out of me. It's descriptive sure, but it makes me think of this guy.
