European PSN releases for July 9

Battlefield 1943 is obviously the big news this week, but there are also a few demos that might also keep you entertained, namely Ghostbusters and Fuel. Not only that, but there's a load of DLC for MotorStorm Pacific Rift, Skate 2 and the usual rhythm games. PSP owners have a bumper crop of games to pick from, plus some more Rock Band Unplugged DLC.

European PSN releases for July 2

Okay Sony, we forgive you for the last couple of weeks. Today's PSN update is chock full of content, with particular emphasis on downloadable games. Punisher and Topatoi are joined by James Pond 2 and Numblast, plus a demo for Red Baron. There's also the usual amount of DLC for those rhythm games you kids love so much, along with a new MotorStorm Pacific Rift expansion.
PSP owners can grab Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, a PSP version of Numblast and some other games, but if none take your fancy at least there's some new Rock Band Unplugged DLC.

European PSN releases for June 25

There's not a whole lot of new content this week, but better than last, at least. Another PopCap game makes its way across the Atlantic today, in the form of Zuma. There's also the delayed Summer Solstice LittleBigPlanet DLC alongside the Jon Burgerman sticker pack, and PSP fans can grab Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and some Rock Band Unplugged DLC. Finally, to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the release of Super Stardust HD, the price for the game has been dropped to just £1.59. Go get!
Oh, also -- Final Fantasy VII has been fixed and re-released in France. Just thought you might like to know.

VidZone launches today, amidst a collection of heavy-duty upgrades to all your favorite games. World At War and Killzone 2 fans have a map pack each to download and Burnout Paradise fans can expand the game world with the new Big Surf Island pack. European PSN releases for June 4

Ready for a deluge of E3 trailers? The European PSN update this week contains over forty videos -- though it's sadly lacking Uncharted 2 -- as well as a Fight Night Round 4 demo, Trash Panic and the PS1 game you've been waiting for, Final Fantasy VII. So sit back, relax and enjoy what must be approaching an hour of game trailers from E3.

PAL undergoing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite trials this Thursday
Hey, fellow hunters in the PAL territory! Know that a demo of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will be available to test your skills later this week. Capcom has a lot of high hopes for the franchise, and has taken great care in introducing the game to the West. With a demo hitting Europe on May 28, you'll finally get to see what all of the fuss is about. The demo landed on our shores Thursday, and we'd tell you all about it, but then that would ruin the surprise.

European PSN releases for May 21

It's true, we liked inFamous quite a lot, but you don't have to take our word for it -- you can go ahead and grab the demo off the European PlayStation store right now. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, there are four other demos for you to try out instead. No wonder this update took so long to arrive! There's also a PS1 game in the form of Creatures 3, a full PSP game and, as usual, a boat-load of DLC including the fairly large LittleBigPlanet Monsters pack.

European PSN releases for May 14

A few new games make their way to the European PSN Store today amid the normal torrent of DLC releases. PopCap finally graces Europe with Bejeweled 2 and Zen Pinball makes its global debut, day and date with the American release. Other than that, there's DLC for PAIN, Street Fighter IV, Sonic Unleashed and ... sadly, not LittleBigPlanet. Guess those Media Molecule folks have to take a break sometime. The store is also lacking any new PSP content for this week. Sorry, handheld fans.
[Update] PopCap has confirmed that Bejeweled 2 is only the beginning for the European PSN. Zuma, Heavy Weapon, Peggle and Feeding Frenzy will all be heading to Europe in the coming months.

European PSN releases for May 7

It's relatively minor week of releases for the European PSN. The gem of the week is actually a demo of Savage Moon, which came out at the end of January. Other than that it's mostly DLC, including some for Trivial Pursuit, LittleBigPlanet, Wheelman and Tom Clancy's HAWX. PSP owners have a few more games to grab, including the classic Loco Roco and another Fireteam Bravo title.

It's DLC city on the European PlayStation Store today. Not only has the hotly anticipated expansion for PixelJunk Eden been released (and at less than £2.50, how can you say no?) but Valkyria Chronicles, Magic Ball and LittleBigPlanet all receive new content, too. Those after full games can enjoy OutRun Online Arcade or Need For Speed Most Wanted on PSP.

European PSN update for April 9

Alright SCEE, we forgive you for last week. Today's update is jam-packed with content, including four full PS3 games, a return to form for LittleBigPlanet DLC and the usual truckload of DLC. To mark the second anniversary of the PlayStation Store in the territory, SCEE has also reduced prices for a lot of older games. PSP owners have four full games of their own to choose from too.

European PSN update for April 2

Bit of a rubbish update today, comparatively. No playable content for PS3 owners, nor DLC for LittleBigPlanet -- weren't those Patapon costumes supposed to drop today? PSP owners at least get a playable demo, but it's one that's been available in the US for a week.
