PSN Thursday: Try Trine, Get Gex

PS3 owners don't have much to download, with Numblast (pictured above) and Military Madness the sole new games on PSN this week. For your retro thrills, Gex crawls out of the Not-Very-Popular-PS1-Mascots Archive. Make sure you get the free LBP birthday costume, and don't miss out on the Trine demo (especially if you're on the fence!). PSP owners have a lot more to choose from with the addition of Numblast, Dissidia, Ghostbusters and a free MotorStorm: Arctic Edge demo.

Fat Princess gobbles up June release

It's been a long time coming, but the European PlayStation.Blog has confirmed that Sony's online cake-fest, Fat Princess, will receive a June release. Just in case you didn't notice, that's this month. While the release timetable is only confirmed for Europe, it's likely the PSN capture-the-princess game will find a global release.

In addition to Fat Princess, SCEE confirmed June releases for Trash Panic, Numblast and a Ghostbusters demo. PSP owners will be able to expect Ape Academy 2, Everybody's Golf 2, Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow and WipEout Pulse in the European PS Store.

Qruton coming to Europe disguised as 'Numblast'

We've just received code from SCEE for an unannounced PSN title for PS3 and PSP. We were confused as to why we'd be reviewing a game before it was even announced. We realized, however, that the game has been announced -- only in Japan. It's Qruton, the bizarre chain-reaction number rotation title that appeared earlier this month.

In sending us the playable code, SCEE has confirmed that the game is heading to the region, and soon. No word on whether the game is headed to America, yet, but chances seem pretty high. Check out the video above to see the game in action.

[Update] Numblast will be available in Europe on June 19 for £3.99.
